Death of a Police Veteran. Ex-Sergeant Robert Moir died to-day, aged 74. The deceased joined the Launceston police in 1863, and retired on a pension about 11 years ago. he was a conspicuous figure in connection with the railway riots, and he also effected the capture of the notorious robber Richardson, who was known as the "Musical Blacksmith".
