Parents: Hans George Adam Kastner (1698–1767) & Anna Maria Kraus (1697–1767)

Peter Costner (brother not only of Jacob but of Thomas, a King's Mountain man) died at Ramsour's Mill, June 20, 1780. A loyalist, Peter was killed by his brother Thomas, who buried his sibling's corpse after the fight.

Note: Ramsour's Mill Battleground Description: The Battle of Ramsour's Mill, which took place on June 20, 1780. Accounts say 70 lives were taken and 200 wounded. Most are buried in a mass burial ground. The marker is near where Loyalist John Martin Shuford (my 6th g-uncle) is buried. Other burials are around the schools.
