Miss Elizabeth Lockart of 761 Genesee Street has received word to the effect that her brother, Alexander Lockart, died September 13, in Leeds, England, after having been ill for eight months with paralysis.
Mr. Lockart was born in New Hartford January 10, 1850, a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Lockart. After receiving his education he conducted a carriage manufacturing establishment in New Hartford for some years. About 20 years ago he moved to Providence, R.I., and five years later went to England, where he had since made his home.
In New Hartford about 30 years ago Mr. Lockart married Charlotte Smart, who survives with two children, Irene and Jean Lockart, both of Leeds, England, and a sister, Eizabeth Lockart, of this city.
