He married Ann Meredith in or near Grimsby, Ontario between 1820 and 1823 when she got land from the British Government. They moved around a lot in Ontario and moved to Eau Claire Co. about 1865. Francis died in 1876 and Ann Meredith Headley died in Renville Co., MN in 1880. He had a number of children, some of the names were Phebe, Miriam, Rachel, Chauncey, Francis, Hannah, Louisa to name some of them.
