Squirt was a beagle my father bought for hunting. He loved to run. My father gave him to a neighbor after Squirt got away one time too many (we lived on a main road). Unfortunately, Squirt got away from the neighbor, ran down the hill to the main road, and was hit by a car. We came home from church and saw him lying there with the neighbor and the person who hit him. That was not a great day.
