Desire Collard, Collard, 93, a resident of the McCormick home for the last 10 months, died in a local hospital Sunday morning. He was born in the town of Humboldt, and was married 70 years ago to the former Octavia Barras, who died 12 years ago. The deceased farmed for several years here and in the Dakotas, was a carpenter-contractor, and operated a tavern near the Brown County home until 12 years ago. From then until going to the McCormick home he had lived with his son, Henry, who survives with three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Julia Van Oss, McCormick home.

Collard was a member of the SS. Peter and Paul Benevolent society. The body is at the Du-pont-Malcore funeral home, where the rosary will be said at 8 o'clock tonight and Tuesday, with the Benevolent society and the Rev. Peter Skellin charge Tuesday night. Father Skell will offer the requiem mass at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning in SS. Peter and Paul church. Burial will be in Allouez cemetery.
