James Beatson Foyer, son of David and Jessie Foyer, was born in July 1850 in New York. He died on March 3, 1913, in Manchester, Hartford County, Connecticut.

After James' death in 1913, Mary moved to California with her two sons, James and Frederick. Mary's remains were cremated at Rosedale Cemetery and Crematory per her California Certificate of Death.
