Mary Burnette Walker, 76, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, May 30, 2020. Mary was a resident at Aston Park Healthcare Center in Asheville NC for the past five years. Mary was born June, 23, 1943 to the late Luther and Carrie Burnette in Haywood County. Mary graduated from Canton High School and worked at the Enka Plant until she married, then became a homemaker. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Lee Walker, her son Roger Lee Walker and sister Nancy.

Mary was a member of the Asheville First Church of the Nazarene. Mary loved to eat, especially pinto beans and corn bread and cheeseburgers, playing, going to yard sales, and spending time with family.

Mary is survived by sisters-in-laws and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews, all in the Asheville, NC Area.

A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will be planned at a future date. Mary will be placed an interment at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with her husband and son.
