Mrs. McKenzie was born at Duck Hill, Ms. on December 11, 1932. She had lived most of her life in South Jackson from 1975-1996. She then moved to Byram where she lived for 9 years. In 2005 she moved to Crystal Springs. She was a retired childcare worker from several Churches in the South Jackson area. She loved her flowers and working outdoors. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Crystal Springs. She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. McKenzie; survivors include; daughters, Ramona McKenzie of Crystal Springs, Robin McKenzie Wilbourn and husband James "Hal" of Terry; brothers, Arnold Moore of Sledge, Elbert Moore of Spartanburg, SC, Guy Moore, Jr. of Springfield, MO; sister Alma Franklin of Magee; grandson; James Evins Wilbourn and an number of nieces and nephews. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Crystal Springs Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.Visitation is Tuedsay, October 3, 2006, 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at the funeral home chapel in Byram with burial in the Lakewood Memorial Park in Clinton. Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram is handling the arrangements.
