Article that appeared in the Boston Evening Globe Nov 2 1925: John Devaney 65, married of 236 Elm St Cambridge was found dead in bed in the bedroom of his home by a daughter. The police were called and found a gas was turned on. The body was turned over to medical examiner David C Dow for an autopsy. Medical examiner Dow reported to police this noon that Devaney died of accidental gas poisoning. The belief is that a sudden draft blew out the gas and that the man was overcome before he realized his peril
