Myrtle Delores Abbott, 83, of Rossville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 15, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of the Chattanooga Valley Church of God. She was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horton & Mary George Abbott; sisters, Margaret Abbott and Ola Gilbert and 5 brothers, Fred, William, Marcel, Ralph and Bennett Abbott.
Survivors include her loving husband of more than 64 years, Henry Nolan Abbott; children, Shirley Oliver, Wayne Abbott and Nancy Adkins; sister, Mary Lee Adkins; 3 grandchildren, Chris Rozzelle, Henry Oliver and Dustin Abbott; 6 great grandchildren; special friends, Bobbie Tate, Christine Beasley and Margaret Caldwell and numerous extended family & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2020 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Bro. Rory Blevins officiating. Burial will be held at Little River Cemetery in Mentone, Alabama.
