Helena (Ferreira) Dias, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 at her home.
She was the beloved wife of Manuel Dias.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Arsenio and Urania (Borges) Ferreira.
Helena worked for Titleist/Foot-Joy for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her family and close friends, and shopping with her daughters. Her granddaughter Mia was her motivation for life and her pride and joy. She especially loved watching Hallmark movies, cooking and completing crossword puzzles. Helena was a fun loving person, and was always willing to help everyone. Helena was a parishioner of Saint Anthony’s Church in Taunton.
Besides her husband Manuel of 44 years, she leaves behind her daughters; Jessica Araujo and husband Gregg, Lisa Dias- Cabral and husband Rui. Her loving granddaughter Mia Aurianna, siblings; Carlos Ferreira, Mario Ferreira, Fernando Ferreira, Nelia Sousa, Nair Sousa, Maddy Edwards, Manuela Paiva, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Aida Andrade and Maria Ferreira.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 9 am at Saint Anthony’s Church, 126 School St., Taunton.
(Relatives and friends may meet directly at church.)
Interment will follow at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 4 to 7pm at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home. Social distancing will be observed, please wear a mask when entering.
