BRILLHART - Adlina (Meyer) Brillhart, was born in York county, Pennsylvania, June 30, 1834, and died near Fairview, Brown county, Kansas, June 29, 1915, aged 81 years.
She was united in marriage to Isaac Brillhart on January 20, 1853. He preceded her to the spirit world on April 2, 1897.
Mrs. Brillhart was the mother of eight children; EDMOND, who died in young manhood, Mrs. LUCY Sterling of Fairview, Kansas, who has cared for her mother since she came to Kansas in 1899; CHARLES, of Atlantic, Iowa, ELEVINA, Wife of J. M. Spangler, who died January 4, 1892, CONRAD of Canton, Illinois; Mrs. MARGARET Roesner, of Salina, Kansas; and JOHN W. of Ipava, Illinois. Besides the three sons and two daughters, she is survived by three brothers and one sister, 26 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In early life, Mother Brillhart united with the Reformed church, at Jefferson, York, Pennsylvania, later moving to Illinois, was a member of the Reformed Church of Summum, Illinois and became a member of the Church at Fairview, by letter July 15, 1900.
The funeral service took place from the Reformed church in Fairview, Thursday morning, July 1, and the body was taken to Summum, Illinois for burial in the family lot, accompanied by J. M. Spangler, who has provided a home for her during the past 16 years.
