Russell Hodges, in the 1950s, worked driving a taxi. In the 1960s, he sold Lincoln-Mercury automobiles. Russell Hodges ranked in the top third in Lincoln-Mercury car sales, nationwide, was awarded membership in the "100 Club" by their sales council.
Russell Hodges passed away on 1 September, 1971. He was buried in Quincy, Illinois.
