CURWENSVILLE - Ai Barrett, 82, of Curwensville R.D., died in the Clearfield Hospital Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
He was born in Ferguson Township Oct. 2, 1891, a son of John and Alice (Pennington) Barrett. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War I, an a retired Harbison-Walker clay miner.
Mr. Barrett was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Curwensville.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ethel Merrell; and these sons and daughters:
Maurice, Jack and Merrell Barrett, all of Curwensville; Edith, Bangkok, Thailand; Harry, Blauvelt, N.Y.; Mrs. Paul (Clara) Wise, Fullerton, Calif.; S-Sgt. Ardell Barrett, Castle Air Force Base, Mercedes, Calif.; and Duane, St. Louis, Mo.
He also leaves grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Theodore, Slate Hill, N.Y.
Mr. Barrett was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Curwensville with the Rev. A. C. Kuntz officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Olanta.
Friends may call at the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home from 7 p.m. today until noon Tuesday at the church from 1 p.m. Tuesday till time of services.
