John Fielding, age 82 of Grapevine, Ark., died Saturday. He was a retired carpenter-millwright for Benny Hatcher Construction Company; member and trustee of Hedden Chapel Assembly of God Church; member of Arkansas District Council of Carpenters; and was elected life-time president of the Grant County Singing Convention.

Survivors: wife, Ollie Hedden Fielding of Grapevine; son: John Clifford Fielding of Dallas, Texas; two daughters: Brenda Aquilino of Little Rock and Linda Bradford of Grapevine; brother: Jethero Fielding of Heber Springs; sister: Verna Wilson of Sheridan; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
