Anna Malone Ryan, a resident of North Tarrytowh for the last four years, died Sunday at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center after a brief illness. She was 76.

Mrs. Ryan was born Nov. 15, 1909, in New Ross, County Wexford, Ireland, to Richard and Johanna O'Brien Malone.

She had lived in the Bronx for more than 50 years before moving to Tarrytown in 1981.

Mrs. Ryan was a parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church in North Tarrytown and a former parishioner of St. Rita's Church in the Bronx.

Her husband, Patrick Ryan, died in February 1985.

Survivors include five sons, Richard of Nanuet, John and Michael of Tarrytown, Patrick of Brooklyn and Thomas of Jefferson City, Mo.: two daughters, Anastasia Miciotta of Brooklyn and Mary Ellen Littmann of Highland Mills, N.Y.; her brother, Jack Malone of Ireland; three sisters, Catherine Lanigan of Smithtown, N.Y., and Agnes and Joan Malone of Ireland; 26 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Her daughter, Joan Shannon, died in August 1984.

Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contribution can be made to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, No. Tarrytown.
