Katherine Lydia MUMPER 1873 –
He was born in Monaghan Township and grew to manhood on the family farm; attending the district and select schools in his youth. In 1866 he began farming on the old homestead, which he soon after purchased; 110 acres, all under cultivation. He became a prosperous agriculturist and was largely engaged in the mining field (Iron ore).
On February 7, 1867, he married Mary E. King, daughter of George and Lizzie King, of Washington Township. To this marriage were born three daughters: Bertha Marie, Annie King, and Katherine Lydia.
He was a member of the Dillsburg Lutheran Church. His passing took place in Carroll Township.
