Jane Gosla, age 75, of Monroe, Michigan passed away in her home on February 9, 2013, she had been in declining health.
Jane was born November 11, 1937 in Monroe to William A. and Martha ?Claire? (Shontz) Sharkey, she graduated from Monroe High School in 1955 and received an Associates Degree from Monroe County Community College. Jane married James W. Gosla on June 20, 1969. Jane was a very active member of Christ Lutheran Church of Monroe; she taught Sunday School for many years and was a great mentor to the younger members. Jane was employed for over 20 years as a maintenance worker for Monroe Public Schools, retiring in 1998.
Jane enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband James; children, Joseph (Pam) Gosla of Jonesville, MI, Jeffrey Nelson of Albuquerque, N.M., Gerard Gosla of Monroe, William Gosla of Monroe, Joy (Brian) Angove of Monroe and Sheri (Richard) Urbany of Vassar, MI; siblings, Jack Sharkey of Dearborn Heights, MI, Faye (James) Hill of Monroe and Susan (John) Bolin of Thompson, GA; grandchildren, Paul, Hope, Kevin, Ciera, James, Tyler and Akea Jaye; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Jacob, Nathaniel, Kamren, Harper Jane, Luke and Cade. Jane was preceded in death by her parents.
In keeping with Jane's wishes, cremation has been held. A Celebration of Her Life will be Friday February 22, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Christ Lutheran Church 225 E. Elm Ave. Monroe, Michigan 48162, Rev Dennis Bux will officiate.
