William Nipple, 76, Albany, died at 7:45 a.m. today in the Continental Manor Nursing Home at Evansville after a brief illness.
Among survivors ware five sons, Wayne, Walter, Willis and Warren, all of Albany, and Garey, Edgerton; a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Lorraine) Nelson, Belvidere, IL; three brothers, John of Monroe, Tilman, Albany, and Nels, Brodhead; two sisters, Mrs. Ted (Ann) Luce, Prescott, Ariz., and Mrs. Donald (Margaret) Laughridge, Albany; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Nipple was born on Jan. 8, 1900, in Brodhead, the son of Abraham and Sarah (should be Margaret) Nipple. He was married on Jan. 2, 1925, in Orfordville to Mabel Vigdahl. The farmed in the Brodhead and Albany areas where he lived all his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife on May 7, 1974; a daughter, Audrey, in 1934; two brothers, Louis and Oscar, and two sisters, Sarah and Katherine.
Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gohlke's Sharer Funeral Home with Rev. C. O. Thronson of the Albany Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the Orfordville Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday night.
