He was born on March 29, 1918. He was a farmer and a member of Sulphur Wells Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Tresea Alvey Kerr; one daughter, Coleen McStoots; and his parents, Henery Hardin and Deely Hodge Kerr.
He is survived by six sons, Randall, Carman, Delmer and Harlan Kerr, all of Clarkson, Junior Kerr of Flint Hill, Ky., and Courtland Kerr of Leitchfield; two daughters, Doris Priddy of Upton and Burnette VanMeter of Leitchfield; two sisters, Betty Kerr of Leitchfield and Gladys Kerr of Clarkson; one brother, Chester Kerr of Elizabethtown. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, January 19, 2004 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Abb Stanton, Bro. Joe Brooks and Bro. Charles Larry Bell officiating.
Burial was in the Williams Cemetery.
