Ronald G. Mattice, of Christiansburg, Virginia died peacefully in the presence of God and his family on July 9, 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Mattice; children, Mike and wife Shari of Denver, Colorado, Susan Mattice, and wife Carolyn of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Pam (Mattice) DiIoia and husband Len of Christiansburg.

Ron is also survived by his six beautiful Grandchildren; Kevin, Justin, Austyn, Katelynn, Meredith and Nicole.

Predeceased by his sister Patricia Webster (149809393 ).

Ron retired from BASF Chemical Company as a Chemical Engineer.

Following retirement Ron enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, playing golf, hiking, woodworking, yard projects, and watching the grandchildren play sports, and school activities. He loved to camp, travel, and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and attended the Rockfish Presbyterian Church, in Nellysford, VA. He and Betty lived at the Wintergreen Community for 18 years, prior to moving to Christiansburg.

A service will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Donald Makin of the First Presbyterian Church of Christiansburg presiding.
