Marge was born in Roxbury, NY on January 14, 1934 to the late George and Marion (Frisbee) Mattice. She graduated from Roxbury High School in 1952 and was a graduate from the Ridley Secretarial School, Binghampton, NY in 1953.
Marge was married to Donald C. Jordi in 1957.
Marge was employed as a computer operator at H.C Prange Company for 25 years and also at Richardson Industries for the last 14 years, where she worked until the last few weeks of her life, reluctantly giving up a job she loved and her many friends due to the progression of her illness.
She was a longtime member of First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, and as of late, enjoyed visits from Pastor Todd Smith. Marge was an avid golfer who golfed to the end, even after suffering a serious shoulder injury in 2009, and was very proud of her hole-in-one in 2005. She took many vacations during her lifetime, including trips to Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Bahamas, Canada, Las Vegas, and also a cruise to the Caribbean. Marge belonged to several bowling leagues throughout her life, and deeply valued the many friendships formed during those years. She cherished time spent with family, but the close bond she shared with her daughter could never be broken.
Marge is survived by her daughter, Deborah (William) Honold of Kohler; two sons, Kalen Jordi and Kevin (Julie) Jordi, both of Sheboygan; two sisters, Doris Hosier, New Kingston, NY and Pat Webster, of Baldwinsville, N.Y; one brother, Ronald (Betty) Mattice, Nellysford, VA; six grandchildren, Nicole Bence, Jeremy Bence, Allisha Jordi, Tyler Jordi, Cody Jordi, and Casey Jordi; great-grandchildren, Anthony Knorr and Olivia Kalkops. Marge left many special friends, Marion, Dorothy, Leona, Regina, Pat, and Jeanne.
Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held on June 25, 2010 in the Chapel Of Eternal Light Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6906 Superior Avenue, Kohler followed by the service led by Pastor Todd Smith.
~The Garden In Winter~ The winter fades the garden now Where laughter used to flower It makes us sad to linger here The minutes seem like hours But though we only see the loss Of what we used to know In time the warmth of memory Will make the garden grow And shades of love we thought we'd lost Once again will show Peeking through the snow~
