Jack Hess, age 76 of Jacksboro passed away Aug. 15 at the East Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Montgomery Masonic Lodge #94 F & AM in Montgomery County, OH. He was involved with a lot of work with the Shriners and AA. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Foster and Sarah Davis Hess.He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Hess of Jacksboro; son and daughter in
law, Mark and Barbara Hess of OH; stepson, Joseph Wolford of MI; daughters, Kathy Hess of Tazewell, Stella McCulley and husband, Charlie of LaFollette, Shirley Will of Oh; stepdaughter, Carol Jean Duty of MI; granddaughter, Tracy
Thompson of Jacksboro; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Hess of OH; sister, Ann Strait of FL; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Masonic services were held Aug. 18 with the Stooksbury Lodge in charge of services with funeral services in the Martin Wilson Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Arnold officiating. Interment was in the Powell Valley Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
