Lord, give us grace to trust You when life burdens seem too much to bear; Dispel the darkness with new hope and help us rise above despair.

A beloved son, grandson, brother, dad, nephew, cousin and friend Earnest Nichols, III left this world unexpectedly at 37 years of age on July 10, 2020.

Born on October 20, 1982 to Earnest Nichols, Jr. and Carlean Jamerson in Gainesville, Florida. He attended the Public Schools of Marion County, graduating from North Marion High School Class of 2000 and enlisted in the United Sates Army shortly after graduation.

As an entrepreneur, Earnest was the proprietor of Nichols Transport, LLC and Nichols Renovations and Repairs, LLC.

To his family, Earnest was firm, fun-loving, compassionate, strong, generous, supportive and a loyal human being, but most importantly, he had a deep love for his family and he cherished the role he played in each of their lives.

As an avid sports fan, he favored the Florida Gators, as he excelled in football in the Public School System as a quarter back and wide receiver.

Earnest was predeceased by his great grand-parents Mary Lou “Big Ma” Thomas, Francis Gordon, and Alonzo Gordon.

He is survived by his four children, Je’dyn Nichols, Er’monie “Jazzi” Nichols, E’layjah Nichols and Harmony Nichols, all of Ocala; his parents, Earnest Nichols, Jr. (Doris) of Ocala, and Carlean Crawford (Curtis) of Silver Springs Shores; his fiancé, Amee’ Kinsler of Ocala; three sisters, Shaderrica Miller (Kevin) of Columbus, GA, Shandra Nichols of Gainesville, and Bryonna Nichols of Ocala; two sisters in love Cecilia “Tina” Dukes and Shai'Qwon Gordon of Orange Lake; a brother in love, Antonio Gordon of Orange Lake; his extended family of siblings Sheretha Dickerson (Derick) of Ocala, Angel Cooper (Cormelius) of Ocala, Curtis Crawford Jr. of Tampa, Amani Poitier of Jacksonville and Christina Poitier of Gainesville; his grandparents, Mildred Waters of Orange Lake, Rosetta Davis of Ocala, Earnest Nichols, Sr of Ocala, and Chester Mitchell (Cora) of Orange Lake; two special friends, Antwan Young and Jeron Martin; one God son Ayden James; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Even in my darkest hour, The Lord will bless me with His power;
His loving grace will sure abound, In His sweet care I shall be found.
