Kennie Roger Acord, 77, of Matheny, WV went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2020 at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH following a long illness. Kennie was a member of Delilah Methodist Church. Kennie was a retired welder and a member of the UMWA at Kopperston #1 Shop. He loved hunting and fishing. His family was what he lived for. He had a passion for spending time at his cabin with his family. Kennie was always joking and making everyone laugh. He never met a stranger.

He was born December 4, 1942 in Oceana, WV, a son of the late Henderson "Pierce" Acord (1912-1948) and the late Delilah "Lyle" Gaye Acord-Acord-Reed (1918-2010) and the late Herbert Reed (1917-1998). In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Kennie "Peewee" Henderson Acord (Deceased); a stepdaughter, Laura Edith Cook-Fogliasso (1969-2009); and brothers, Pierce Acord (Deceased), Aubrey Dale Acord (Deceased) and Franklin Delano Acord, Sr. (1938-2016).

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 22 years, Sue Sizemore-Acord; daughters, Melinda Kay Acord, Shandrea Sizemore & companion David Dodson, and Denise Koopman; sons, Aaron Sizemore & wife Regina Sizemore and Vincent Koopman; grandchildren, Samantha, Brittany, Tyler, Nicholas, Kennadee, Kerrigan, Leelan, Emma, Luke and Brian; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Herbert Steven "Steve" Reed & wife Shirley Reed and Coy Blake Acord (1949-2020) & wife Lottie Odom-Acord; sisters, Nancy Jean Acord-Frazier, Clarice K. Acord-Bailey, Linda G. Acord-Lilly & husband Dewey Lilly, Eileen R. Acord-Stewart and Earlia D. Reed-Derringer & husband Jack Derringer; two very special sisters-in-law, Glenna Acord and Peggy Acord; two brothers-in-law, Darren Moore and Orvie Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday July 20, 2020 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Butch Acord officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
