Linda Newberry, 67, of Chattanooga, died July 12, 2020. She was born the daughter of the late James L. and Virginia (Troxtel) Davis on September 17, 1952. Linda retired after 37 years from Dixie Yarns and was of the Baptist faith. Linda will forever be remembered as an amazing single-mother who made certain her children had everything they needed by working tirelessly. She was always there for people and her family and loved going fishing, travelling and passionate about going to the casino where she excelled at the slot machines.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Newberry, brother, Ricky Davis and grandsons: Adam and Kyle Terrell.

This loving mother and grandmother leaves behind daughters: Melissa (Danny) Hennessee, Sonia Terrell and Karen Terrell, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11am-2pm Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Lane Funeral Home with a graveside service will be held at 3pm (Central) the same day at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Rainesville, AL with Ken Chambers officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements entrusted to Lane Funeral Home.
