Luther Z. Firestone, 75, retired Chester Twp. farmer, died early Sunday Morning at his home on U.S. 250, east of New Pittsburg, after a long illness.

He was born in Chester Twp., son of Solomon and Alice McFadden Firestone and lived in Chester Twp. all his life. he was an active lifetime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of New Pittsburg.

He is survived by his wife, Oda Florence; a son, Miles, owner of El-Mist Turkey Farm; a daughter, Mrs. Robert [Arlene] Barnett of Alliance. A brother, John, of Wooster; and seven grandchildren.

An infant son died previously.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in New Pittsburg. His pastor, the Rev. Marlin Drake, will officiate.

Friends will be received at the McIntire Funeral Home Monday 7-9 p.m. Burial will be in New Pittsburg Cemetery.
