McMinnville, Tennessee resident and Warren County, Tennessee native, Tom Starkey, age 91, was born December 27, 1928 and passed away July 28, 2020 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tennessee following a sudden illness.
A United States Army veteran of Korea, a retired maintenance technician with Carrier Corporation and a member of Trousdale Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Jarvis A. and Hallie B. Summers Starkey. He was married to Hazel Northcutt Starkey who preceded him in death on February 23, 2015. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Starkey and Herman L. Starkey; and sister, Joyce Holt.
Mr. Starkey is survived by one sister, Bessie Jean Chisam of Morrison, Tennessee; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins also survive.
A graveside service and interment will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Trousdale Cemetery with Wayne Cantrell officiating. There will be no public visitation or service at High's. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery.
