MRS. ANNA WREN
The death occurred at her residence, Richmond Street, Tumut, on Wednesday, of last week, November 24, of Mrs. Anna Wren, aged 62 years. She had been ailing for some time and was nursed and cared for by her loving daughters and sons, and every thing that was possible to do for her was done. Mrs. Wren, before marriage, was Miss Anna Duval, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Duval, who were among the earliest residents of Narandera, and she married Mr. Harry C. Wren, who was a solicitor here, and who predeceased her just four years ago. She is survived by six children, the three sons being Harry Clive (Boynie) and Lance, of Lacmalac, and Keith, Narandera; and three daughters — Miss Beryl, Tumut, Sybil (Mrs. C. Dennett, of Sydney), and Mona (Mrs. M. M. Thatcher, of Tumut). The late Mrs. Wren, with her husband and family, went to live at Lacmalac about 8 or 9 years ago with their son, "Boynie", who has a block on the Lacmalac Soldier Settlement; but after her husband's death, and failing in health, she removed to residence in Tumut, where she remained to the time of her death. Mrs. Wren was a woman of kindly disposition, and was always more concerned about other people's troubles than her own. The funeral took place on Thursday of last week, leaving from the All Saints' Church of England, where a short service was conducted by Rev. F. W. Rettie, who also officiated at the graveside. Messrs Frank W. and Fred. Duval, of Narandera, are brothers of the late Mrs. Wren, and Misses Tillie and Alice Duval, of Narandera, Mrs. Turner, of West Australia, and Mrs. Meynink, of Sydney, are sisters.
