Catholic Church records for Oregon City show that on the 3rd of December, 1871, Tamer was baptized after a profession of faith and given first Communion. She was 23 years old when she converted "from Infidelity." On the 5th day of May, 1872, Tamer and Barney remarried in the Church; they had married formerly before a civil officer. Three daughters and one son were born to them.
In 1891, Tamer and Barney moved to Tillamook to a farm on the Trask River at Sandlake, where he died. She married Augustus "Gus" Babcock in 1892. They were living in Toppenish in 1913. The local newspaper indicated they were moving from there to Ellensburg the same time as her daughter (May Stickney) was relocating her family to Ellensburg. In the Summer of 1919, she and Gus stayed in Ellensburg for about a year before returning to Oregon. She moved to Benton County in 1924. Tamer died in 1929 at the age of 82 and was buried at Philomath, Oregon. Her pink granite stone in the Mount Union Cemetery reads:
1847 - Grandmother - 1929
Tamer Babcock
Tamer was remembered by her granddaughters Effie and Mabel Stickney as a very tiny woman and always happy and jolly.
