Keenan Rites Slated Sunday
THURMOND-Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday for Mrs. Malissa J. Keenan, 86, of Thurmond, who died 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in a Montgomery hospital following a three-year illness.
Rites will be held in the chapel of the Collins Funeral Home, Glen Jean, with the Rev. Clarence Figgatt, of Mt. Hope, the Rev. W. H. Foard, of Brooklyn, and the Rev. Frank Monroe, of Hinton, officiating. Burial will follow in the High Lawn Memorial Park.
Among her survivors are four brothers, Willie Hypes, of Hico; Luther, of Poe; Wilbur, of Wiona; and Joe, of Lake Worth, Fla.; three sons, Walter M., Fort Wayne, Ind., Homer K., of the United States Army; and Edward L., of Thurmond; three daughters, Mrs. Mae Kessler and Mrs. H. P. Ruloff, of Victor, and Mrs. Lola Whitlock, of Thurmond.
Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
