Mrs. Pine died Sunday, July 26, 1998, at Eudora Nursing Center.
She was born May 27, 1901, in rural Lawrence, the daughter of Scott Wood and Emily Simmons. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, where she held a number of offices and the United Methodist Women. She also was a member of Autumn Club, Old Friends Club and Woodlawn Homemakers Unit.
She married Ralph E. Pine Sr. on Oct. 12, 1921. He died Dec. 27, 1984.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph Jr. and Wayne, both of Lawrence; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
The family suggests memorials to Centenary United Methodist Church, sent in care of the funeral home.
