Tryphena was the daughter of Phinehas and Keturah (Brown) Hatch. She married Col. William Cheney and moved to Newport. According to the family genealogy: these memorable words uttered by her are an index to her religious belief: "Brother, the children of God never see each other for the last time." She and William were the parents of 14 children. SOURCE: Hatch family genealogy by The Hatch Family Genealogical Society, Salt Lake City, 1925.
