The death of George Hargrave, a textile worker for over fifty years identified with Allen's Mills, Sheldon Street, took place Tuesday afternoon [25 April 1911] at his home 24 East Wister Street, at the age of seventy years. Several months ago Mr. Hargrave had a fall on Germantown Avenue the effects of which, it is thought, hastened his death. He was a member of Ellis Post, No. 6, G.A.R. The funeral will be held this afternoon from his late residence, the services being conducted by the Rev. Kerr Boyce Tupper, D. D., pastor of the Third Baptist Church, and the interment will be made in Ivy Hill Cemetery.
