CHEEK, ARLENE ANN KAPALA - age 62, of Louisville, Tenn. passed away following a long battle with cancer 6:30 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 1997, at her home. She was of the Catholic faith.
Preceded in death by infant son, Ronald Kenneth Cheek; parents, John and Veronica Kapala; sisters, Stella Rochon and Margie Whitby; a brother, Raymond Kapala.
Survivors include: husband, H. Clay Cheek; daughters and son-in-law, Tammy Cheek of Louisville, Cherie and David Sydes of Farragut; grandchildren, David Michael and Ashley Sydes; step-son, Jerry Cheek; step-grandchildren, Christy Lynn and Jerry Lee Cheek; brothers, Harry Kapala of Rogers City, Mich., Phillip and Chester Kapala of Alpena, Mich, Eugene Kapala of Lake, Michigan; sisters, Helen Robarge of Alpena, Mich., Edna Parker, and Martha Wertz of Warren, Mich.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday, Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Father Vann Johnston officiating.
Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday with a Rosary Service at 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Mynatt's.
