The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Eugene for Helen B. Helget of Topeka, Kan., formerly of the Lane County area. She died Sept. 1 of age-related causes at age 87.
She was born April 18, 1920, in Delia, Kan., to Edward and Marie DeVader. She married Edward Helget on May 9, 1939, in Saint Marys, Kan.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Rita Caughill of Topeka, Kan., and Betty Orendorff of Harrisburg; four brothers, Henry DeVader of Saint Marys, Kan., Edward DeVader of Emmett, Kan., Leonard DeVader of Lone Jack, Mo., and Donald DeVader of Burlington, Colo.; two sisters, Anna Morford, also of Saint Marys, and Mary Kay Berberick of Independence, Kan.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Her husband died May 3, 1996.
Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene and Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel in Topeka.
