Arrived in the colony with his brothers in 1857 on the 'Vocalist' aged 26 years of age went to Tumut to pursue farming then onto Dubbo before going to the New England Area of NSW
Married Catherine Cussen in 1867 at Tumut with 8 children born of this union.
Catherine was killed at Cockabrew Little River near Dubbo by a lightning strike on the 22nd January 1886.

Mr. Christopher Ebzery, an old resident of the district, died at the local hospital on Saturday. Deceased was 87 years of age, and had resided in the district for 35 years. In the early days he selected at Graham's Valley, and carried on farming successfully for a number of years. About 10 years ago he sold his farm and since then has resided with his son, Mr. Tom Ebzery, of Furracabad. He is survived by five sons and one daughter. The youngest son, Christopher, has been at the front for over two years.
