Asher Jones was my grandfather. He was not a big man, just in spirit. I remember him best as an old man (obviously) smoking a pipe and telling war stories. That generation would always talk in "Pennsylvania Dutch" (a form of German) so that we couldn't understand what they were talking about. It was pretty funny in retrospect... I remember playing dominoes with him and my dad and them gibbering away about things. He fought in the war. He homesteaded Montana in the early part of the century, and he was one pistol of a man.

Asher Jones was the youngest son of Oliver Jones and Emeline (Greenzweig) Jones. He was the Husband of Norma E (Trach) Jones. He was the Father of the late Sterling W Jones of Bath, Pennsylvania. Surviving him are one daughter, two grand children and several great grandchildren. Asher Jones was a Veteran of the First World War, Army Corps of Engineers.

I want to thank ~Bluejean~ ILM My Angels^ for sponsoring my grandfather's page. It is deeply touching and appreciated. Please visit her and leave some nice flowers if possible. :)
