Peter Joseph Stuhldreher, 63, a former costume designer who retired last year after about 20 years as a guide with Tourmobile, died of prostate cancer April 29 at the Hospice of Northern Virginia in Arlington. He lived in Arlington.
Mr. Stuhldreher was a native of Madison, Wis., and a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.
In the 1960s and 1970s, he was a theater costume designer in New York for plays that included "Catch Me If You Can" and "A Joyful Noise." He designed for television programs produced in Los Angeles that included variety shows of John Davidson. He also designed dresses for singer Kate Smith.
Survivors include three brothers.
