He was the husband of the late Margaret J. (Anderson) Schonfarber. He was born in Providence, RI.

He was a son of the late Gordon and Amie W. (Eddy) Schonfarber.

He had lived in Pawtucket, RI before moving to Coventry, RI sixteen years ago.

He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and a retired owner of Schonfarber Advertising of Providence.

He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Barrington.

He was an avid golfer and a member of the Rhode Island Country Club.

He was a Mason.

He is survived by his four daughters, Susan D. Mabry of New York City, Kristin S. Street of Foster, Lisa F. W. Schonfarber of Warwick and Pamela Schonfarber of North New Portland, ME; his companion Jane W. Lomas of Coventry and seven grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Janet McLaughlin.

He is remembered by his friends and loved ones as someone who was an excellent teacher. He always showed the way and allowed you to make your mistakes. He was always there to catch you if you fell and never rubbed the mistake in.

He is remembered as being an active part of the "The Greatest Generation" and we all owe him a debt of gratitude.

He leaves behind many loving memories. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him are enternally grateful for the love and understanding he had, the guidance he gave, and his strong sense of right and wrong.

He is remembered for his sharp wit and sense of humor. As well as, the great pride he had and love he felt for his family. He is one of a kind and will forever be loved and remembered.
