He was born December 30, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Vercil Cox and Betty Louise (Yowell) Deubner. He retired from the military after 20 plus years of service.
David cared for other people ahead of himself, he was a very generous and considerate person. He was such a kind man who made a big impression on others.
David loved to visit the casinos and enjoyed rock polishing and collecting.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Norma Cox, father, Vercil Cox, mother and step-father, Betty and Roscoe Deubner, twin brother, Andy Thomas “Tommy” Cox, brother, Robin Charles Deubner, and brother-in-law, Mark Profitt.
David is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David F. Cox, Jr. and Beverly “Bev”; son, Rick A. Cox; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” and Vince Alder; 8 grandchildren, twins Madison Fay and Grace Ann Cox, Jason Cox , Zachary Alder, Seirra Young, Dawn (Tim) Smith, Melinda (Stephan) Markland, and Mitchell Strunks. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Teri (Lou) Almasy, and Kim L. Profitt ; his best buddy “Diesel”, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
