Doris Taylor Hall, 73, of Dillwyn, passed at her home on September 4, 2020. She was born March 3, 1947 in Buckingham County, a daughter of the Herman Marshall and Fannie Gormus Taylor. Doris loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended Enon Baptist Church.

Doris is survived by her four children, Marshall “Slop” Shumaker and his wife, Amanda, Lynn S. Sprouse, Danny Shumaker and his wife, Melissa; Ernest Shumaker and his wife, Sarah; special niece, Jennifer Baldwin; sister, Gladys Vaughn; two brothers, Herman Wesley Taylor and William “Popeye” Taylor; longtime companion, Jeff Sadler; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Ann Taylor, Lucille Baldwin and Nancy Ramsey.

Graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the Rocky Mount United Methodist Church cemetery. viewing will be held on Saturday from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home.
