She married Hiram Underhill on 12/13 Sept. 1813 in Sutherland, Vermont. They moved to Whiteside County, Illinois in 1838. Hiram died on 9 Sep 1868 in Whiteside County, Illinois. Hiram and Martha had thirteen children including: David, Julia Ann, Abram, Austin, Sarah Elizabeth, Horace, Permelia Jane, Mary, and Charles.
Abram and Julia Ann moved to Linn County, Oregon with their spouses in 1874. They returned to Illinois to get Martha in 1885. Martha lived with Julia Ann near Shedd in the winter and with Abram in the summers in Philomath. Martha was living with Julia Ann when she died.
Martha's 6-great grandfather was Francis Cooke who was one of the pilgrims on the Mayflower that landed on Plymouth Rock in 1620. Her 5-great grandfather John Washburn came to the Plymouth Colony in 1631.
