Irna studied music at Oberlin, Ohio Conservatory of Music graduating in 1906. It was after that that she moved out to Pomona, California and taught music and piano, and after she married Albert Davis she served as organist in all his churches.
Irna went by her first name all her life, until she moved out to California and then she went by her middle name, Irene.
Irna Irene died in Claremont in 1950, survived by her husband of 39 years and her daughter, Mary Dorothea Davis of Pasadena, California.
