MARY'S OBITUARY
Mary Leatrice Briscoe passed away at Ochsner Medical Center Jefferson Highway on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at the age of 78 with her family by her side. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. LeeLee, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, attended All Saints Catholic School and was a graduate of L.B. Landry Senior High School.
Devoted mother of Sedric, Patrick, Mary Cyrilla Briscoe (Brian Larce), Carmella Briscoe-Nevels of Spring, TX, and the late Jude Briscoe Sr. Grandmother of Brittany Franklin-Pruitt (Jamaal Pruitt), Brianna and Bryant Nevels, Journee and Sanaa Washington, Jude Jr, Jandon and Caiden Briscoe. Great grandmother of Jamaal II, Jayden and Jayce Pruitt. Daughter of the late Alphonse Sr. and Beatrice Briscoe. Sister of Rita Celestine Freeman, Ursula Johnson, and the late Alphonse Jr, Charles, and Anthony Briscoe. Mother-in-law of Nicole Smith-Briscoe. Sister-in-law of Marion Briscoe; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Catholic Church 1441 Teche St. New Orleans, LA on Friday September 4, 2020 at 10:00a.m. Father Peter Weiss SSJ, Celebrant. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Providence Park Cemetery-Metairie, LA.
