Raymond Doyle Bryant, 75 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, September 6th, 2020 at his home.
Raymond was born in Fayette County, Kentucky on May 14th, 1945, son of the late Carl Owen Bryant and Mary Walden Bryant. He was of the Christian faith and like to go to AMVETS and VFW, had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Raymond was survived by one son, Raymond Bryant ,Jr. of Lexington, Kentucky; one sister, Brenda Roaden; three grandchildren, Samantha Phelps-Blevins(and Benjamin), Aaron Vaught, and Easton Blevins, all of Somerset, Kentucky; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Bryant and Mary Bryant; one son, Carl Ray Bryant; one daughter, Vlynda Bryant Phelps; three brothers, Ralph Bryant, Eddie Bryant, and Harold Bryant; and one sister, Ann Warpool.
Visitations were held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13th, 2020 at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13th, 2020 in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Strunk officiating.
Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, September 14th, 2020 in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky followed by burial.
