"Lionel J. Shibell, 55, son of Charles A. and Nellie M. Shibell, Arizona pioneers, was buried Wednesday in Oakland California, following his death there December 30. Mr. Shibell was instantly killed when struck by an electric car of the Southern Pacific system at Oakland.
A railroad engineer, for more than 15 years Mr. Shibell has lived in Oakland, removing there with his wife from here where, also, he was a locomotive engineer. He leaves his widow, a brother, Charles B. Shibell of Portland, Oregon, and four sisters: Mrs. M. S. Brown and Mrs. Orpha Foster, Tucson; Miss Lillie Shibell, Tucson, and Mrs. M. S. Gould, Oklahoma City."
His first wife, Jeanette died in 1926. His second wife was Lena (Sidelbotham) Mansfield.
