Mrs. Mary E. (Hines) Ware, 83, died early Saturday morning at the Laconia Nursing home after a long illness.

A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, she had lived most of her life in Gilford. She was the widow of Edgar Horace Ward. Mrs. Ward was a member of the Gilford Community Church.

Members of the family include three sisters: Mrs. Mildred Smith of Bridgeport, Conn., Mrs. William Aldrich of Santa Fe, N.M., and Mrs. George Warfield of Santa Barbara, Calif.

Information recorded in [Financial] Records of the Pine Grove and McCoy Cemetery Association, Volume 1, 1930-1985: "30-Jul-1941 Received $30 from Mary Ward, Mrs. Charles Goodwin, and Blanche Clark in full for West half Lot No 103". Mrs. Charles Goodwin is Elizabeth Maude (Hines) Goodwin, Mary's sister, buried in this cemetery.
