We join Sweet Adelines and barbershop fans around the world in mourning the loss of Sharon Babb. Sharon was a long-time Sweet Adeline chorus director, judge, coach, educator, and administrator. She was a former member of the Sweet Adelines International Board of Directors, former Music and Sound Specialist, Director of 1987 International Champion High Country Chorus, and Master International Faculty Member. In 2013, Sharon received the Sweet Adelines International President’s Lifetime Achievement award. Generations of singers benefitted from her generosity of spirit, wit, and expertise.

Sharon taught English and sponsored the yearbook and school newspaper at Broomfield High School for 38 years. It was there that she also met the love of her life, Carl. They were married for 49 years.

Sharon was also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Society and met for the past 40 years with six other members in yearly get-togethers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sweet Adelines International in Tulsa, Oklahoma c/o Young Singers foundation to help promote young women for singing on harmony.
